Involvement in our wider City Community
We love our little city, and it's small town feel. We enjoy getting out with our city neighbors as much as possible. Sherwood Forest Preschool hosts a few events during the year, we'd love to have you join us!
Gladstone's Nature Park - Lantern Walk
In late September/ Early October (Date TBD), together with the Friends of Gladstone Nature Park, we hose a magical evening at the park. We supply materials for creating a lantern. I tell a story of the Sun giving the last of it's summer rays to the children as a gift to light the winter days ahead of them, on que parents drop a glowing (battery operated) tea light into their child's lantern. Voila!! The magic!! After the story we take a short walk through the park with our glowing lanters. It's really lovely. I would love to see you all there. This is a special memory/ pictures that I'd like to add to each 'Critters' keepsake book under Ll.
Gladstones' Christmas Tree Lighting at the Senior Community Center
Hosted by members of our small community, and members of Celebrate Gladstone Committee. This is a very dear celebration that shouldn't be missed. It is short and sweet. Members of the community come together to be on hand to witness the 'Lighting' of the cities Christmas Tree. Sherwood Forest Preschool hosts a Bird Feeder Ornament and craft table. There is caroling and yummy treats and I hear tell... the Jolly 'ol St. Nick may be there as well!
Gladstone's Nature Park - Arbor Day Event
We would like to host a table at our LOVED nature park. We will invite families to join the festivities at the park, this event is in the Spring. The event is growing each year with lots of fun things for the family, to see, do, and explore.
